Moved to washington

Hi friends,

It has been a little while since you have heard from me. Never fear, I am back and so happy to be firing up my business again.

So much has happened over the past 10 months. Boy has time flown by. So much to catch up on.

Let Me Start From The Beginning

Last year my husband and I decided to take a leap of faith. See we have been planning on moving for a few years now but not sure of when, where or how. So…

We took a trip to Washington state last February to see if it would be a good place to relocate.  What’s funny is that when we landed it was 28 degrees and snowing.  Not my kind of weather; so this Texas girl thought. While there we celebrated when the temp reached 32 degrees. HAHA I could not believe the cold weather. By the end of the week it was 55 degrees and raining; more what I had expected.

Our week was packed with adventures and we found ourselves in a new city each night checking out all we could see. By the end of the week, as we drove to the airport to fly back to CA, we looked at one another and said, “This is the place”.

On The Move

Shortly after the trip my husband and I decided to leave the Bay Area in California to find a place that was a bit more, hmm, how do I say it?  Less hustle and bustle, more affordable and a place with seasons. Don’t get me wrong the CA weather can be amazing.

After 20+ years we were ready for change. Change is exactly what we got.

We drove out of California in June of 2022 after selling our home and headed to an Airbnb on the Pudget Sound in Washington.

We were there for 2 ½ weeks before finding an apartment.  Then the house hunting began.

Oh boy that was adventurous. So many homes to see and trying to decide where to plant our feet.

In September we found our spot and “OH BOY!”, we love it.  A beautiful home on the Puget Sound surrounded by water, mountains and so so many trees.

In November we had our first snow.  I was a kid throwing snowballs and laughing as the snow fell.

Now that we are a bit settled and ready to dive into all that Washington has to offer its time to fire up the business.

I’ll be sharing more products and teaching classes. I also can’t wait to share what I have discovered here regarding handspun yarns, shops and suppliers. One thing I have not stopped doing is checking out the local yarn stores. There are amazing shops here and all can be shopped online. Watch for that information.

It didn’t take long for me to miss you guys and know that what I have been doing for the past 15 plus years is what I want to continue to do.

I can’t wait to share more.

P.S.

Thank you!!!

So many of you have reached out and asked how things are going and to get updates.  Your support and messages have meant so much!!

If you are ready to learn more, let me know by leaving a comment. Tell me what you hope to see from me.
